Story Behind the Story
Ignited from attending a creative workshop in 2011.
Story Telling Through Art : a meditative exercise - Where by we pictured 3 different images of animals that came to mind with their environment. Then we were asked to draw them. attached is the drawing - very childlike, but anyway... And then write a story in 10 mins about the animals we drew - give the animals names, how they meet, and what story/message they pass on to one another. The writing could be expressed in anyway.
And the Story Begins....
Three Different worlds with Three different energies and souls come together. Each has a name and a form -->
Spirit, is a wild and carefree Stallion from the land of clear blue sky & soft grass filling the space;
Snuggles (the elephant) is the Gentle beast of the Jungle; and Serena, the Sleek Silver fish who glides through the ocean blue as the sun rises over the horizon.
Each soul was bonded by nature, land & sea, and with time, Each one of them found themselves face to face as they reached the corner of their worlds --
Spirit raced, and galloped and soared through his journey. Snuggles was gentle in his steps, munching the leaves from the trees, working his way through the forest, and took his time. Serena, well, she went with the flow of the current that guided her to her destiny.
Now none of them have met each other before - so it was quite a shock to see a form so different to oneself.
But something about their energies was pulling the curiosity out of each other, and they started to talk, surprised that they could understand one another.
So much to find out about one another, but they had to head back home to tell their families about what they discovered at the end of the journey, although it wouldn't be the last time they met.
But each one left with the following message that they took to their hearts till their next gathering:
Spirit's message:
- Love being free, and wild and running with the wind. No force can get in your way
Snuggle's message:
- Stay soft with all your strength. Strong doesn't mean to crush. Strength comes from peace and being gentle in this harsh jungle.
Serena's message:
- Enjoy the journey, immerse yourself with the current rather than go against it. Let it carry you, and you will reach the horizon where the sun rises; To find others that are different and beautiful and can share something that you can take/ carry back home with you.
